Stormy Seas Inflatable Kid's Jacket - RK700
AllWeatherGear.com is proud to offer the first comfortable, high-performance flotation jacket just for kids. Three factors were key in the design decisions: a child can not operate the CO2 inflation of the adult systems; unfortunately, the current state of the art in auto inflators is not reliable enough for children; and as every parent soon discovers, traditional foam lifejackets are too uncomfortable for hour-after-hour, day-after-day use by an active child.
So, Stormy Seas made an everyday jacket with a hidden inflatable chamber. A coat that can be worn for any activity. When that activity involves the water, the parent provides the buoyancy by orally inflating the air chamber. The parent makes the jacket buoyant before the child ever steps onto the boat. It's a different approach that works for many parents, especially those families that live aboard. Another benefit of this approach is that a fully inflated jacket will actually turn a child to a face-out-of-the-water position (most inherently buoyant children's lifejackets will not). This jacket features a Taslan nylon shell and cozy polyester fleece hood and lining.
